About us

Fried chicken is one of my favorite foods. I remember my family grabbing a bucket and heading up to the canyon to enjoy a picnic together. Ever since then, I’ve been inspired by fried chicken and when the time was right, I wanted to do my version of it.

Then I discovered Nashville hot chicken. What a great new take on a classic!
Inspired by my experiences as a youngster and now a father of 5, I wanted to create my own take on fried chicken and represent hot chicken in Utah Valley. I envisioned buttermilk fried chicken on the bone and chicken sandwiches with buns we bake ourselves, pickles we make fresh, topped with a creamy cooling slaw to balance the spicy chicken. Everything would sing its own simple song, their flavors combining to make the perfect chicken sandwich symphony! I envisioned new flavorful and fun sides and a great banana pudding for dessert! The branding is fun and bright, reminding one of sitting by a campfire in southern Utah. The different colors at their own intensities creates a perfect Utah sunset!
This place was a pure joy to conceive and create.
I hope you feel the loving attention we put into every detail of the food and environment at Lovebirds. Here we hope to create a place where you can feel nourished and fed, uplifted and warmed.
